Meet Nicole

Nicole Siqueiros-Stoutner brings more than two decades of family law experience to her mediation practice — as a licensed attorney, former Maricopa County Superior Court judicial officer, court-appointed parenting coordinator, and adjunct law professor. Her career began with direct service to vulnerable families: she worked as a case specialist for Child Protective Services (now DCS) and as an advocate at Sojourner Center, a domestic violence shelter. That foundation of compassion and commitment to protecting children has shaped everything she has done since.

Nicole went on to practice family law at three boutique Phoenix firms, handling complex divorce and custody matters, before co-founding Sheldon & Stoutner. In August 2020 she was appointed as a full-time judicial officer in the Maricopa County Superior Court, completing the Arizona Supreme Court's judicial training and orientation program and serving on the bench before returning to private practice. That experience gives her an unmatched window into how courts think — and why keeping decisions out of a judge's hands is so often the better outcome for families.

Nicole is a certified mediator having obtained a mediation certificate through a program provided by the Maricopa County Superior Court. She is also a trained Parenting Coordinator. On a regular basis, she authors articles and presents Continuing Legal Education seminars for the Arizona State Bar, the Maricopa County Bar, the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, and the Arizona Supreme Court Committee on the Impact of Domestic Violence.
